The Hermès San Francisco Boutique opened in 1987 and focuses on providing extraordinary service to clients as part of the Western Region. This position reports to the Floor Director and will work collaboratively with the sales team and selling support teams to support the client experience in a fast‑paced, luxury environment.
Opportunity The primary responsibilities of a Beauty Expert/Sales Specialist are to achieve selling and customer service objectives while adhering to the operational asset protection standards of the boutique. You will represent Hermès Beauty products to clients, advise, sell and promote the house’s latest cosmetic category, and serve customers across all métiers within the boutique.
Responsibilities
Sales Objectives
Accountable for meeting personal sales goals and contributing to the boutique’s collective target.
Use makeup application and consultation techniques to provide high‑quality, personalized service.
Inform clients about new products and beauty trends.
Provide beauty training and share product knowledge with boutique staff during morning meetings.
Organize and prioritize the work station and selling floor, maintain stock levels, and support inventory preparation.
POS
Process and ensure the accuracy of all transactions, including receipts, CRM files and after‑sales service.
Communicate discrepancies and manage end‑of‑day POS variances.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
Asset Protection
Comply with all asset protection procedures, including sign‑in sheets, bag checks and key control.
Follow EAS tagging guidelines and ensure proper ticketing of all products.
Participate in monthly cycle counts and prepare for physical inventory.
Customer Service
Provide high levels of service to clients in line with Hermès standards: prompt greeting, offer assistance, and help with wrapping and packaging at POS.
About You
2+ years of experience in a sales capacity (makeup, skincare, or fragrance preferred), preferably in a luxury environment.
Certified in Cosmetology and/or Beauty & Fragrance.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills to engage clients.
Balanced, multitasking‑oriented, and detail focused.
High attention to cleanliness and tidiness.
Self‑starter, able to work independently, and strong team spirit.
Passionate about art and fashion.
Flexible with schedule changes to accommodate business needs.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to lift between 0–25 lbs. without assistance.
The range for this position is
$26.51 - $32.09
per hour. Actual rates are determined based on the job, location, and individual experience.
