Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to provide managerial oversight for the development, operation, and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and utility distribution systems. General duties for this position include but are not limited to: setting the strategic direction for the facilities management of energy use and distribution strategy; providing supervision to designated maintenance staff and ensuring the team is performing effectively and efficiently; identifying and implementing best practices for the Physical Plant and developing metrics to evaluate and manage performance; bringing innovation, attention to client services, and proactively adapting to emerging trends; recommending and implementing utility‑related projects that support capital construction improvement; performing routine and extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of college facilities, buildings, and equipment to ensure normal and efficient operations; managing employee access to campus locations through the campus access‑control system and locksmithing; working directly with architects, engineers, and contractors related to all mechanical, electrical, and utility distribution systems related to capital construction; providing assistance to other physical plant staff as needed to maintain optimum efficiency. Willing to be available at off hours as needed for increased workloads and emergencies. Develop and maintain a good relationship with the campus community and students.
Qualifications Requires ability to work successfully with other employees and conform to deadlines.
Compensation Details This position is in a Salary Grade PM5, with a minimum starting salary range of $60,348-$70,000 per annum. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range.
