What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Document claims files by accurately capturing and updating claims data in compliance with best practices
Determine liability by gathering and analyzing relevant facts and applying applicable law
Develop case strategy and ensure timely resolution of claims
Establish timely reserves and perform ongoing reviews throughout the claims cycle
Negotiate settlements by establishing appropriate negotiation strategies within authority limits
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims and/or Litigation Management area, or Juris Doctor and 2 or more years of experience, or equivalent experience
Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
Microsoft Office experience
Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products
High School Diploma Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims and/or Litigation Management area
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
6 or more years of experience handling high severity Workers Compensation litigated claims
Currently holds an active adjuster’s license in the state of California
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively communicate coverage determinations for complex claims
Experience collaborating in a team environment and building cross‑functional working relationships
