The firm seeks a Patent Litigation Attorney to join its Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent litigation, exceptional analytical and writing skills, and the ability to work effectively on technically complex matters involving diverse industries, including technology, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation Support:
Handle all phases of patent litigation, including pre-suit investigations, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, managing discovery, and preparing for trials, hearings, and appeals before federal courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and other venues.
Case Analysis:
Conduct in-depth legal and technical research to assess patent validity, infringement, and enforceability; analyze patent claims, prior art, and technical documents to develop and execute litigation strategies.
Client Engagement:
Collaborate with inventors, corporate clients, and in-house counsel to understand complex technologies and provide clear, strategic legal guidance.
Cross-Practice Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues across the firm’s intellectual property, corporate, and regulatory teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Bar Admission in New York
3+ years of experience in patent litigation
