The Division Materials Manager provides leadership of Materials Management activities for the division in support of the Parker WIN Strategy. Will develop and execute strategies within a lean enterprise environment concentrating on people, organization, process and information technology.

Responsibilities
The Division Materials Manager role is responsible for the materials management for the entire division, large site, or numerous value streams. Position will report to the Division Supply Chain Manager. Will lead materials management team members. Work with suppliers, business units, procurement, planners, I/T and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through order fulfillment. Matrix management responsibilities with business units and support groups for planning, logistics, shipping, receiving and inventory functions.
Essential Functions
Promote and foster safe work environment
Manages overall strategic planning practices
Implements a lean approach to materials management including material flow and inventory control
Completes demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure the availability of all materials and products at minimum cost
Ensure PFEP & capacity planning activities to support division performance
Analyzes inventories and develops and executes plans to balance Inventory % of Sales and optimize customer service
Collaborates with business partners to optimize customer experience by utilizing buying and reselling strategies and warehouse management
Establishes and implements standard re-order and delivery procedures
Balances supply with demand through Sales and Operations Planning implementation and execution with the minimum amount of Parker’s capacity
Utilizes forecasting tools to create effective demand management processes
Employs data analysis and information technology to improve division performance
Responsible for part data accuracy (item master)
Create development plans for materials management team members and ensure talent pipeline is in place for key functions
Qualifications
Analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities
Demonstrated proficiency in MRP, Microsoft Programs
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts
Understanding of lean enterprise principles and practices
Education & Experience
Education requirement: Must have a Bachelor’s degree (4 Year) in Supply Chain or Operations Management, Business, Engineering or Other.
Advanced Degree such as MBA preferred
Minimum of 6 – 8+ years applicable experience in materials management, supply chain or operations
Professional Certification – APICS or ISM preferred
Supply Chain Training Program – such as Parker Executive Development Program preferred
Competitive Compensation
Pay Range: $138,168 to $241,860 annually
Participation in Annual Incentive Program
