Salt Lake SHRM – Associate Director of Member Engagement
This position partners with the Directors of Member Engagement to continuously engage Salt Lake SHRM Chapter members. The Associate Director facilitates engagement surveys (PDM, conference, or any necessary) to gather feedback and understand member needs. The role focuses on organizing networking, social, and educational events, roundtables, and other activities to bring members together and add value to their membership.
Responsibilities
Be an integral coordinator of the Salt Lake SHRM Ambassadors Program.
Responsible for member engagement survey design, redesign, and metrics of efficiency/effectiveness.
Plan networking events for members in coordination with the program, membership, and social media directors.
Develop scripts for member emails and announcements focusing on new and renewing members.
In partnership with the membership director align goals for increased membership targets, retention, and onboarding initiatives.
Develop innovative ideas and action plans to engage members that add to the value of SHRM membership.
Additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
Term: 2 years, 2026-2027.
Must be an SHRM National and Chapter member in good standing. (SLSHRM membership will be paid by the chapter.)
Must be available to meet with subcommittees to align membership growth strategies regularly.
Serve as a voting board member, attend and participate in all Board meetings (3rd Tuesday of each month, 8:00am - 9:30am).
Must be able to attend monthly professional development meetings (2nd Tuesday of every month, 10:00am - 1:00pm) and other events as planned.
Time Commitment: Approximately 10-15 hours per month.
