Our client, a financial services firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Application Systems Analyst to join their team in Agoura Hills, CA.

Responsibilities

Confer with the business to create a technical specification based on business needs, application and system changes, and determine system requirements.

Design data entry and query screen layouts, report layouts, and file layouts for systems to outline the user interface using hardware, software, and system utilities tools.

Write and revise program and system specifications to create directions for development and modifications of program code.

Plan, monitor and control projects to effectively use time and programming resources, time management skills, and project management software.

Complete a variety of complex technical tasks, such as designing, documenting, and programming logic.

Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Demonstrate behaviors that are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

7+ years of relevant work experience as a Systems Analyst or Business Systems Analyst, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex systems solutions.

Demonstrated strong business knowledge, particularly within the Financial Services industry. Mortgage industry experience is highly preferred.

Proven ability to plan, monitor, and control projects, managing timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is highly valued.

Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

While not a primary development role, a foundational understanding of programming concepts and experience with general coding (e.g., scripting, understanding code logic for reverse engineering) is a significant plus. Experience with API specifications (REST, JSON) is also beneficial.

Must be highly proficient in writing and executing complex SQL queries for data analysis, data mapping, and reporting. Strong understanding of relational database schemas and SQL management tools is essential.

Significant design experience in Relational Databases, Online Systems, and Web-Based Applications.

Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and their G Suite (Google Workspace) equivalents.

Ability to leverage AI tools for writing requirements, use cases, test cases, and design documentation. AI knowledge and usage desired.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills with keen attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Pay Rate:

$62.00 - $64.90/hr
