Job Description BHCC is seeking dynamic adjunct faculty to teach in the Hospitality Department beginning Fall Semester. All positions have a required on-campus component.

CUL‑225 Essentials of Dining Service

– Charlestown Campus, Mon & Wed, 8:30 AM – 2:15 PM. This course provides fundamental knowledge of restaurant service in a professional dining room, emphasizing classical and modern service, timing, substance, and sanitation practices. Students will take either the T.I.P.S. or ServSafe Alcohol Certification exam.

CUL‑101 Culinary Fundamentals

– Charlestown Campus, Thurs, 2:30 PM – 3:45 PM. This course introduces students to the foodservice industry, teaching culinary terminology, equipment, product identification, recipe conversions, and food safety guidelines in preparation for kitchen lab courses. It is a Learning Communities course designed to assist transition to college.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts or Associate Degree in Culinary with relevant work experience.

Ability to demonstrate and teach professional service and sanitation skills.

Commitment to advancing equity and access in the classroom.

College teaching experience, especially at community college level, preferred.

Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.

ServSafe certified.

Maintains high standards for kitchen and food preparation sanitation.

Additional Information Salary: $1,397.00 per credit hour. Interview process will include an on‑site bench test. Details will be provided at time of interview scheduling.

Effective Date: Fall semester, open until filled.
