Lyten
Lyten is leading an industrial revolution through Lyten 3D Graphene™, a breakthrough supermaterial that is unlocking a new generation of products — from lithium–sulfur batteries and energy storage systems to concrete admixtures, lightweight composites, and next‑generation sensors that are revolutionizing industries. Together, these innovations are making a massive global improvement and driving real‑world impact across energy, mobility, construction, and defense.
At Lyten, we believe the most meaningful careers begin with purpose — and with people who want to make a difference. We’re not just developing advanced supermaterials — we’re about to change the world as we know it, reshaping how energy is stored, how products are built, and how progress is made. We’re entering an exciting growth phase, scaling production across the U.S. and Europe and expanding our team of engineers, scientists, and innovators.
Role Overview The SVP of Global IT and Cybersecurity is a senior leader responsible for architecting and executing the global IT strategy, cybersecurity framework, and regulatory compliance programs for the newly formed Lyten‑Northvolt organization. This role plays a central part in establishing the unified, scalable, and secure technology infrastructure needed to support 24/7 manufacturing operations, accelerate digital transformation, and unlock the full strategic value of the Northvolt acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership Translate the global IT roadmap into an actionable multi‑year strategic plan with clear milestones aligned to the phased integration (Stabilize, Harmonize, Innovate). Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership, providing direction on IT risk, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and compliance readiness. Drive the cultural integration of acquired entities through shared systems, collaboration tools, and standardized business processes—supporting the "One Lyten" vision.
Technology Architecture & Infrastructure Lead the design and deployment of the modern digital core (ERP – NetSuite, MES – Northcloud, PLM) that forms the backbone of global operations. Oversee the global hybrid infrastructure across cloud, data centers, and factory edge computing, ensuring high availability and scalability. Implement standardized ITSM practices and tools (e.g., Freshworks), enabling a Follow‑the‑Sun support model.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management Architect and lead a unified cybersecurity strategy based on Zero Trust principles, securing both corporate (IT) and factory floor (OT) environments. Establish and oversee a global Security Operations Center (SOC) and implement specialized OT security monitoring tools. Ensure robust identity and access management, network segmentation, and endpoint protection across all global operations.
Compliance & Regulatory Readiness Ensure global compliance with GDPR, CMMC, SOX, ITAR, and other applicable international regulatory requirements. Build and embed "compliance by design" into system architectures, especially for federal and defense‑facing product lines. Oversee data governance and cross‑border data flows in alignment with global privacy standards and enterprise risk tolerance.
Integration & Operational Execution Play a key leadership role in the Integration Management Office (IMO), contributing to planning, governance, and execution of the post‑merger roadmap. Drive early wins in infrastructure, collaboration tools, and workforce enablement, demonstrating tangible post‑merger value. Lead the assessment, selection, and rationalization of acquired systems, ensuring optimal ROI and strategic fit.
Organizational Development & Talent Management Build and lead high‑performing global and regional IT teams, ensuring dual‑reporting alignment to both local business needs and global standards. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and accountable IT culture, aligned with the principles of agility, transparency, and trust. Champion career development, training, and retention initiatives for critical talent across North America and Europe.
