Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Application Developer for the Office of Information Technology. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will support the implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud and provide ongoing support for both Oracle HCM Cloud and legacy Oracle PeopleSoft HCM, ensuring a smooth transition while maintaining critical PeopleSoft HCM functionalities until full migration is completed.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and implement Oracle HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, BI Publisher Reports, and HCM Data Loader (HDL) solutions to meet business needs.

Support ongoing system optimizations, quarterly updates, and new feature adoption in Oracle HCM Cloud.

Provide day-to-day support to UHR and Payroll, troubleshoot production problems, and provide Help Desk support.

Offer subject matter and technical expertise to junior staff.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and at least three to four years of progressive experience in a technical or techno‑functional capacity, with at least three years dedicated to implementing or supporting Oracle HCM applications, including PeopleSoft HCM and/or Oracle HCM Cloud.

Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM/E Business Suite/PeopleSoft with focus on various HCM modules.

Recent experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, BI Reports, and Workflow.

Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Web Services (SOAP/REST), and PeopleTools for legacy support.

Experience integrating data from disparate systems into cloud‑based applications.

Good understanding of software SDLC.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Seven years of progressive experience in a technical or techno‑functional capacity.

Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Core HR, Benefits, Time and Labor, Absence Management, Payroll, and Recruiting.

Knowledge of HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Spreadsheet Loader (HSDL), HCM Cloud fast formulas, and descriptive flexfields.

Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) experience, including creating integrations, connections, data mappings, and error management.

Experience building complex apps: driven orchestration, scheduled orchestration, file transfer, and publish/subscribe to OIC integrations.

Familiarity with Eclipse, CVS, JIRA, Confluence, UNIX scripting, and building RESTful or SOAP web services.

Ability to understand complex, integrated, state‑of‑the‑art, and legacy computer systems.
