Job Summary In this role you will handle incoming calls from customers, agents, and policyholders related to insurance applications or existing policies. You will work in a collaborative environment providing administrative support for the Underwriting department.
Hours of operation are Monday to Friday with a schedule of 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
All employees in Personal Lines whose essential job function includes but is not limited to direct communication with customers and/or agents must hold a valid Resident State Insurance license and be able to obtain and maintain reciprocal licensing for all 50 states within the continental United States.
Responsibilities
Provides excellent customer service to agents and policyholders in a moderate‑to‑high‑volume call center environment.
Processes corrections or adjusts records when needed, following the appropriate company guidelines.
Reviews, organizes, and forwards information to be escalated for resolution as needed.
Adheres to the established productivity and quality metrics.
Performs other tasks and projects as may be assigned.
May be required to work extended hours and weekends to support business operations during a catastrophe, such as a hurricane affecting Safepoint’s policyholders.
Essential Functions
Use telephone and computer systems to communicate with and service customers.
Use computer system to research information on risks.
Ability to take at least 50 phone calls per day.
Ability to adhere to regular attendance schedule on‑site.
Ability to obtain and maintain resident Property & Casualty insurance licensing through the Florida DFS, and reciprocal licenses in all 50 states in the continental United States.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Property & Casualty Insurance experience.
Property and Casualty Insurance licenses required (4‑40 or 20‑44).
Passion for customer service.
Advanced computer skills and insurance systems knowledge.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
English – Spanish bilingual skills is a plus.
Demonstrated customer service focus.
Excellent communication skills with ability to interact on a professional level with internal and external personnel and partners.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Results‑driven with strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Detail‑oriented and exceptionally organized.
