The Human Resources Department is dedicated to designing, implementing, and managing programs that deliver meaningful value to ElectriCities and its employees. Core services include compliance with employment laws and regulations, employee relations, recruitment and workforce planning, compensation and benefits administration, payroll, performance management, talent development, employee engagement initiatives, and wellness programs.
The purpose of the Human Resources Administrator is to provide operational and administrative support across multiple HR functions to ensure efficient processes, compliance with regulations, and positive employee experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Partner with Lead Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. Supports and partners with accounting on monthly benefit reconciliation processes to maintain accuracy of employee enrollments, deductions, and employer contributions for compliance and financial accuracy. Ensure HR records and reports are up to date and accurate to meet compliance and audit requirements. Assist with HR Purchase requests and invoice payments. Maintaining HRIS/System data integrity by entering, auditing, and updating employee records. Assist HR team members to help improve processes, tools, and services. Provide support to employees with questions related to benefits, policies, and HR processes, escalating as needed. Preparing and distributing company announcements as requested. Support recruitment and onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and efficient candidate and new hire experience. Assist with administering HR programs such as Department of Transportation drug testing, annual motor vehicle record checks, and employee recognition plan(s). Assist with benefits, workers’ compensation, and FMLA/disability leave administration. Performing other related duties as assigned by HR leadership. Job Requirements

The Human Resources Administrator works under the general supervision and guidance of the Manager, Human Resources, who reviews the employee’s work performance periodically under ElectriCities guidelines in terms of overall effectiveness and provides professional guidance as needed. The Manager, Human Resources approves all vacation and other time off. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Physical Requirements
The Human Resources Administrator must maintain the physical condition necessary to perform tasks in an office setting such as operating a personal computer, keyboards, and other peripheral equipment. Periodic travel is required to other NC office locations and/or for training and development purposes. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field +1 year of HR experience
OR
equivalent combination of education and experience in HR or related field. Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and a strong customer service mindset. Foundational knowledge of human resources practices, employment regulations, and compliance requirements. Strong attention to detail with proven ability to manage sensitive financial and employee data accurately Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite; familiarity with HRIS, applicant tracking, or payroll systems preferred. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
