Ellis Island Hotel is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Hotel Manager to lead daily hotel operations with a strong focus on guest experience, operational efficiency, and revenue optimization. Reporting directly to the Director of Hotel Operations and working closely with the Assistant Hotel Manager and Housekeeping Manager, this role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth, profitable, and guest‑centered operation of the property. The ideal candidate is an operational leader who understands both the service and business aspects of hospitality, adept at balancing exceptional guest satisfaction with data‑driven decision‑making to optimize occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room).

In‑person in Las Vegas, NV, 89109: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

Responsibilities Operational Leadership

Oversee all aspects of daily hotel operations to ensure efficient, high‑quality service across all departments.

Provide hands‑on leadership to department teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.

Partner with the Director of Hotel Operations to execute and monitor hotel‑wide strategies, operating procedures, and performance initiatives.

Serve as a visible and engaged leader throughout the property, addressing guest needs promptly and maintaining a strong service presence.

Support hiring, scheduling, training, and performance management to build a motivated and skilled team.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and safety across all guest areas and back‑of‑house operations.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations as well as company policies and procedures.

Revenue & Financial Management

Actively monitor hotel occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR performance; identify opportunities to maximize revenue and profitability.

Conduct daily and weekly revenue analysis to identify trends, adjust pricing strategies, and optimize inventory utilization.

Collaborate with the Director of Hotel Operations and front office teams to develop and execute rate and yield management strategies.

Support the creation and management of budgets, forecasts, and expense controls to achieve financial goals.

Oversee daily audit processes, ensuring accurate reporting of revenues and financial transactions.

Partner with sales and marketing teams to promote packages, special offers, and local partnerships that drive occupancy and revenue.

Guest Experience & Quality Control

Serve as the primary point of contact for guest relations, ensuring any concerns are addressed quickly and effectively.

Analyze guest feedback to identify service gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Promote a guest‑first culture that aligns with Ellis Island's reputation for warm hospitality and personalized service.

Safety & Compliance

Support the implementation of best practices in emergency preparedness, sanitation, and workplace safety.

Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety requirements.

Skills / Experience

Must be 21 years of age or older.

College degree and/or some college coursework in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.

At least 3 years of experience in hotel operations or similar hospitality roles.

At least 2 years of supervisory experience in hotel management or a related leadership position.

Proven experience with revenue management practices, rate strategy, and performance reporting.

Strong financial acumen, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.

Strong operational knowledge with the ability to lead multiple departments efficiently.

Proficiency in hotel property management systems and experience with our guest stay application preferred.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Must possess and/or have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Registration Card.

The ability to submit to and pass a background check and drug test is required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods.

Capable of bending, lifting, and performing physical duties as required.

Proficient in computer and office equipment use.

Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
