ABOUT THE COMPANY An early-stage, venture-backed health tech startup is building the operating system for independent healthcare practices.
The company has already validated its business model across multiple healthcare verticals and recently raised a fresh pre-seed round, from leading Silicon Valley investors to bring this platform to life.
They’re now assembling a founding engineering team to architect and build the technology from the ground up. No legacy systems, full creative control, and massive ownership from day one.
This is a rare opportunity to join a proven founder and help shape both the technical direction and company DNA at the earliest possible stage.
ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a Head of Engineering / CTO, who thrives in 0→1 environments, loves shipping fast, and wants to own meaningful chunks of product and infrastructure.
You’ll work directly with the founder to build the first version of the platform. Designing scalable systems for scheduling, billing, data pipelines, and AI automation, while influencing every major technical decision.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Build, launch, and scale the company’s core platform from the ground up
Design and own end-to-end architecture (frontend, backend, data, cloud)
Integrate with AI and automation tools to streamline clinic operations
Develop systems for billing, scheduling, patient communication, and analytics
Set engineering standards, tooling, and culture for future hires
Collaborate closely with the founder on product vision and roadmap
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
4–10+ years of full‑stack software development experience
Strong proficiency in React / Next.js / TypeScript / Python / Node.js
Experience building and scaling modern web applications end-to-end
Track record of shipping 0→1 products or working in high‑growth startups
Comfortable operating independently in high‑velocity, high‑ownership environments
Bonus: Experience in health tech, HIPAA‑compliant systems, or AI‑driven automation
Bonus: Founding or early engineer experience in a startup
THE TECH STACK Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS
Backend: Python (FastAPI / Flask) or Node.js
Infrastructure: AWS or GCP, Docker, CI/CD
Integrations: REST / GraphQL APIs, AI (OpenAI / Anthropic), voice agents, healthcare APIs
Security: HIPAA compliance, encryption, access control
