Job Summary Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to support our growing liquid cooling solution integration projects. This role will assist senior product managers in managing schedules, coordinating cross‑functional communication, and preparing materials to improve execution and responsiveness to customer needs. The Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring project success by effectively managing resources, time, budget, and people, and by serving as a clear communicator across internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Project Strategy & Procurement Alignment
Collaborate with RD and engineering teams to support new product development (NPI) and ensure procurement lead times match product development milestones and launch dates.
Assess supplier capabilities, scalability, and sustainability, and provide supply chain insights to cross‑functional teams to guide supplier selection and risk mitigation during the NPI phase.
Maintain a deep understanding of the product lifecycle, key features, and market positioning.
Procurement & Vendor Management
Participate in supplier negotiations and collaborate with supporting teams in Asia to ensure PO on time delivery.
Monitor supplier performance, cost trends, and delivery reliability.
Analyze demand forecasts and market trends; provide suppliers with accurate production forecasts and material preparation plans.
Supply Chain Planning & Coordinating
Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to optimize system/chassis/related components planning, ensuring output aligns with internal production schedules and overall company targets.
Analyze demand forecasts and adjust procurement strategies to meet dynamic business needs and product launch schedules.
Develop and implement strategies to manage long lead‑time and unique materials effectively.
Process Improvement & Strategic Planning
Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, supplier collaboration, and cost efficiency.
Implement best practices to optimize resource utilization and cost savings.
Support cross‑functional teams in forecasting, demand planning, and risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; PMP certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management or procurement within electronics or server hardware industries.
Basic understanding of server or IT industry manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
Strong ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities with keen attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience in vendor negotiations, particularly with suppliers in Asia.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a problem‑solving mindset.
Proficiency in ERP applications and Microsoft Office tools such as SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with server architecture and component‑level integration is a plus.
Salary Range $75,000 - $100,000
