The Role Mach Industries is seeking a
Software Engineer
skilled in full‑stack development to design, build, and maintain the software infrastructure that powers the deployment, control, and logistics of Mach systems. This role will focus on developing full‑stack web and backend tools to support real‑world testing, operational deployment, and field data management for Mach’s autonomous defense platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement full‑stack applications that support deployment, monitoring, and logistics workflows.
Develop APIs, databases, and UI dashboards for managing system configurations, test results, and live operations.
Architect and maintain AWS‑based infrastructure, with a focus on compliance and security in GovCloud environments.
Build integrations between deployment software and internal systems (e.g., manufacturing, telemetry, and inventory databases).
Collaborate with field teams to translate operational requirements into scalable software tools.
Implement authentication, authorization, and data security best practices for sensitive systems.
Maintain and extend continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines supporting deployment software.
Contribute to cross‑functional efforts in automating test and validation processes across hardware and software systems.
Troubleshoot and optimize performance across frontend and backend systems in field environments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
3+ years of experience developing and maintaining full‑stack applications in production environments.
Strong proficiency with TypeScript and modern frontend (React, Next.js, or Vue) and styling (CSS, SASS, etc.) frameworks.
Experience developing backend services in Python, Node.js, or Go.
Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and RESTful API design.
Experience with CI/CD systems, Docker, and container orchestration tools.
Familiarity with version control systems.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment bridging hardware and software.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing applications for robotics, manufacturing, or mission‑critical systems.
History of developing multi‑platform applications (cell phones, tablets, high DPI screens).
Familiarity with ATAK and other military software platforms.
Experience deploying software in secure or air‑gapped environments.
Understanding of telemetry, data visualization, or control interfaces for autonomous systems.
Passion for defense technology and building tools that enable real‑world impact.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
