DevSecOps Engineer

Secret Clearance Required PVM is actively seeking a highly experienced and motivated DevSecOps Engineer to support development efforts within the government's Cloud Development Environment (CDE). In this role, you will design, build, and maintain secure DevOps pipelines, automation infrastructure, and containerized environments, helping to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) in classified and cloud‑native environments. You’ll work across functional teams to enhance security, scalability, and maintainability, with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and integration of security best practices. Location: On‑Site, San Diego, CA Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable DevOps pipelines in cloud‑hosted environments. Support and optimize front‑end pipeline operations and manage build agents. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Groovy, or similar scripting languages. Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s). Integrate and maintain security tools (SAST, DAST, SBOM, etc.) in CI/CD pipelines. Support IL6 pipeline development and classified work as needed. Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless application development and deployment. Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for provisioning and orchestration. Implement and enforce secure coding and deployment practices in compliance with government regulations. Required Qualifications
Strong experience developing and maintaining DevOps pipelines and agent configuration. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Groovy. Solid Linux system administration background. Experience working in cloud environments (AWS). Proficient with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with modern DevSecOps tooling, CI/CD practices, and security automation. Active Security+ Certification. Active Secret Clearance required. Preferred Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with AWS Jenkins CI/CD expertise. Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9). Familiarity with SBOM generation and compliance tools. Experience integrating static and dynamic security tools (SAST, DAST). Background in Java and/or .NET development. Education
BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Tools & Technologies
Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes. Python, Groovy. AWS and Linux (RHEL preferred). IaC and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). Security tools for code analysis and compliance. Why PVM?
