Service Setting & Schedule
Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard clinic hours with rotational practice call
On‑Call Expectations: Practice call 1 week per month (no ER call)
Patient Population & Scope
Patient Demographics: Adults
Average Daily Volume / Census: Typical caseload for inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic management
Admissions & Rounding: Yes – inpatient rounds at affiliated hospitals
Consults & Follow‑Ups: Yes – continuity of care for both inpatient and outpatient populations
Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: General cardiology with emphasis on noninvasive and diagnostic cardiac procedures
Facility & Team Details
Beds in Department/Unit: N/A – Cardiology department within hospital and outpatient clinic
EMR System: Not specified (standardized system within Advanced Cardiovascular Center)
Specialty Backup: Access to interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and vascular medicine
Support Staff: 3 APPs supporting 2 physicians across inpatient and outpatient settings
Leadership & Reporting Structure: Reports to the Medical Director, Advanced Cardiovascular Center
Reason for Opening: Program growth and expanding patient volume
Credentialing & Compliance
Board Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology (Certification required within 5 years of residency)
DEA & Certifications: Active DEA, ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days
Visa Sponsorship: J‑1 eligible (H‑1B not available)

Required Skills & Qualifications
Board Status: BC/BE in Cardiology
State License Required: Active Arizona License or IMLC eligibility
Certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA‑issued)
Experience: Minimum 2 years post‑residency or fellowship preferred
Additional Requirements: Proficiency in EKG, Echocardiography, TEE, Stress Testing, and Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology care
Conduct diagnostic evaluations and interpret EKG, echocardiogram, and stress tests
Perform and interpret noninvasive and invasive cardiology procedures, including cardiac catheterization
Participate in call coverage within the practice rotation (no ER call required)
Collaborate with APPs and other specialists to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care
Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation in accordance with institutional standards
Engage in ongoing professional development, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
