Position Overview We are recruiting for an Assistant Store Manager at one of our showrooms. In this full‑time role, you will help customers create their dream living space and lead a team of commissioned sales associates.

Location Baton Rouge, LA

Base pay range $60,000 per year (based on experience).

What You’ll Be Doing

Oversee the daily operations of the showroom, including sales, customer service, and maintenance.

Work with, mentor and train a team of commissioned sales associates to enhance customer experience and sales profitability, helping associates increase their income.

Ensure customers receive the best service and are pleased with purchases and deliveries.

Train and develop a high‑performing sales team, implementing individual and team goals to maximize potential.

Coach each sales consultant to set realistic monthly sales goals and develop action plans, providing advice, support, and motivation.

Assist in maintaining a clean, inviting, and well‑presented showroom.

Participate in the sales process when possible to enhance the customer shopping experience and use that experience to educate associates.

Maintain a positive morale among staff.

What We’re Looking For

Strong mentoring, coaching, and development skills with the ability to motivate teams to achieve results.

Minimum of 2 years of retail sales management experience, preferably within the furniture industry managing commissioned sales associates.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English and Spanish preferred.

Knowledge of computer programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Willingness and ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Desire to succeed in a sales‑driven environment.
