Position Summary The Business Development Manager, Pro Division, is responsible for strategically managing and expanding business with healthcare practitioner relationships, associations, and large group purchasing organizations. A significant part of the role involves driving new practitioner acquisition through innovative strategies and educational presentations to increase market share. While managing some existing accounts, the emphasis is on generating new revenue and developing a robust network of healthcare practitioners in the nutraceutical industry and hospital networks. Collaboration with various departments is essential to develop promotional materials, tools and provide feedback to ensure success. The position requires you to be experienced and results-driven, have a strong track record of successful b2b sales in the healthcare practitioner markets and must feel comfortable presenting to physicians, key stakeholders in associations and hospital networks. This role demands strong intrapersonal skills and an extensive background in selling through the practitioner and distribution channels.

Essential Function Statement(s)

Drive Sales and Relationship Management: Develop and implement strategies for acquiring new business and fostering education-focused relationships with practitioners. Focus on new business acquisition, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare practitioners, associations, influencers, and industry thought leaders. Leverage these relationships to enhance our brand visibility and credibility within the health professional community & hospital networks.

Manage Strategic Partnerships: Oversee existing strategic partnerships and develop opportunities for expansion. Work closely with Territory Account Reps to ensure the cultivation, conversion of new leads & the adoption of Nordic Naturals products.

Client Education: Play a pivotal role in the educational engagement strategy for clients within the territory, working to develop and maintain strong, education-focused relationships.

Market Share Expansion & Practitioner Acquisition: Identify new opportunities and develop strategies to increase market share in the health practitioner space. Expand strategic accounts, penetrate hospital networks, associations, and group purchasing organizations.

Conduct Market Analysis: Conduct market research, analyze competition, and develop innovative & targeted strategies to penetrate new markets.

Networking: Implement strategies to expand into new practitioner markets and increase sales from existing business by attending industry conferences, conducting educational summits & events.

Product & Marketing Strategy: Determine product demand and collaborate with marketing to develop strategies based on buying trends and identified needs. Support the development of promotional campaigns and ensure strategies appeal to the practitioner audience.

Achieve Revenue Targets: Drive business development strategies to increase sales and exceed revenue targets through direct and distribution channels. Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure consistent growth and profitability.

Technology & Analytics: Utilize Salesforce & DOMO for tracking and analyzing KPIs related to business development activities. Regularly report on progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust strategies to optimize results.

Skills & Abilities Education

Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, preferred but not required or relative sales experience.

Experience

3-5 years of experience preferred in the nutraceutical industry, selling through the practitioner channel and/or hospital networks.

Preferred experience with selling DTC and knowledge of nutritional supplements.

Experience working within an omni channel sales organization.

Demonstrated track record of new business development and acquisition.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Google Docs, Salesforce, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
