Responsibilities
We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer in New Hampshire. This role would pioneer our structural opportunities with NHDOT and provide assistance on our current MassDOT workload. The successful candidate will be responsible for both technical content and project management tasks related to public infrastructure bridge projects. Typical tasks for this position include the development of design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates for public bidding; providing support and guidance for junior staff, client and subconsultant management and coordination; tracking of project budgets; delegation of work tasks to support staff; and basic knowledge of survey data collection, land rights, and regulatory permitting. The ideal candidate will have the ability to take projects from concept level to construction and have deep knowledge of all matters related to the project development cycle with stakeholders of all experience and knowledge levels. Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required. Minimum 8 years’ experience of progressive responsibility in Structural Engineering is required. High level of proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation Open Road Designer required. P.E. license in NH is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to utilize critical thinking, judgment, and experience to define, analyze and resolve problems and issues. Desired Skills and Experience
P.E. license in MA is preferred. Familiarity with MassDOT standards and deliverables strongly preferred. Familiarity with NHDOT design standards, review processes, and deliverables strongly preferred. Experience directly supervising staff is a plus. What You Get
