Responsibilities
Lead and supervise Process Technicians; work directly with team processing, die setting and troubleshooting.
Administer process control system and procedure.
Maintain partnership and communication with Plant Manager and Plant Process Engineers to adjust and manage plant priorities.
Submit work orders for maintenance and tooling items.
Serve as CES continuous improvement initiative coordinator as needed.
Work closely with Plant Managers/Molding Manager and with SCM (scheduling).
Coordinate technical training and perform mold try-outs.
Support SMED and OEE responsibility by shift.
Assist in developing technician performance measurements.
Diagnose machine malfunctions and ensure corrective actions occur in a timely manner.
Handle full shift and operational technician responsibility for setup and process technical personnel.
Provide technical support of facilities, injection molding machines, robots and secondary equipment.
Collaborate with team to make improvements that support corporate goals and objectives.
Ensure consistent practices across plants regarding systems, programs, policies, specifications and standards.
Coordinate with maintenance/fab and other departments to assure all regulatory requirements are met (safety, security, building codes, etc.).
Serve as a resource person for technical and customer issues within the organization.
Interact well with internal customers & outside suppliers; understand the value of customer service.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives (CES) and ensure technical participation.
Qualifications
Experience in plastics injection molding and specialist experience in die setting and plastics processing.
Strong project management skills and ability to oversee daily production responsibilities across multiple sites.
High-level core competencies and strong team development and project management skills.
Excellent communication, team player and leadership skills.
Ability to plan, organize, control, coordinate and supervise a technical operations team.
Strong computer skills; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to supervise multiple locations, each with multiple high priorities.
Strong understanding of plastic properties and behavior under molding conditions.
Knowledge of plastic injection molding equipment, industrial troubleshooting and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work to achieve corporate goals and objectives with limited supervision.
Demonstrated experience in plastic injection molding and industrial troubleshooting.
Company Description Creative Liquid Coatings is a TS 16949 certified manufacturer with processes in injection molding, chrome plating, and painting of interior & exterior automotive components. With machines ranging in size from 100 Tons to 5000 Tons, we handle injection molding needs using a variety of performance materials from commodity grades to custom blends and engineered thermoplastic resins.
