Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Senior Accountant
to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys improving processes, supporting system implementations, and delivering accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including P&L and balance sheet variance reports.
Record and reconcile month-end accruals for direct and operating costs.
Maintain and update fixed asset schedules, including depreciation and amortization entries.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with finance leadership.
Assist in the design and implementation of internal controls and accounting policies.
Participate in system upgrades and integrations (e.g., ERP, time tracking, expense management).
Lead training sessions for new hires on accounting systems and internal tools.
Collaborate cross-functionally with project teams and shared services to resolve accounting issues.
Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards (IFRS 15/ASC 606).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in real estate, construction, or professional services.
Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
Experience with ERP systems (Maconomy, Great Plains, or similar).
Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
