Role Description The VPK, Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program, prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessment, and instruction of 4‑year‑olds based on each child’s needs and program requirements.
Responsibilities
Create fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow teachers.
Promote social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children in your class.
Lead classroom management, curriculum implementation, and be an expert on licensing guidelines, company standards, and VPK program requirements.
Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote child achievement and support the center’s success.
Qualifications
At least 18 years old.
CDA, associate’s degree or higher in education, or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate.
Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
Ability to meet state educational requirements and our childcare center requirements.
Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
