Responsibilities
Walk all assigned floors at the beginning and end of shift, removing service trays and trash, and noting urgent cleaning needs.
Remove soiled linen, towels, and trash from housekeeping carts and take to appropriate locations. Recycle bottles, cans, and paper in receptacles.
Maintain all carpets through extraction and spot‑cleaning methods.
Protect furniture from wear and tear through preventative maintenance, including rotation of mattresses and box springs.
Deep clean guest rooms: carpet, chairs, vacuuming behind furniture, metal vents, and tile floor in the bathroom area.
Clean all public areas, elevators, service areas, stairwells, etc., while maintaining safety and security.
Aid housekeepers as needed with roll‑way removal and room stripping.
Report missing/found items, damages, and maintenance issues.
Respond to guest requests and questions.
Report guest issues and complaints to Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Supervisor.
Stock linen closets with supplies (soap, shampoo, etc.).
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
Knowledge of carpet care, tile care, buffing machines, extractors.
Ability to work a flexible schedule; times vary with occupancy.
Must pass a background check.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 lbs and climb stairs frequently.
Understand and follow verbal/written instructions; communicate verbally and in writing.
Bend down and get on/off floor numerous times per day.
Education / Training High School Diploma or GED.
Experience Experience is a plus but not required.
