Position Overview We are seeking a
Licensed Surveyor in Training (SIT)
to join our growing team. This is a full-time role ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented professional looking to further develop their skills and progress toward becoming a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM). You will work closely with our surveying and engineering teams on a variety of projects, from boundary and topographic surveys to construction staking and site development.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with planning, conducting, and managing land surveying projects under the guidance of licensed surveyors.
Perform fieldwork, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction layout surveys.
Reduce and analyze survey data using industry-standard software.
Prepare maps, plats, legal descriptions, and other technical documentation.
Ensure work complies with state and local surveying regulations and standards.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal team members to ensure project success.
Support the supervision and training of junior field crew members as needed.
Qualifications
Current Surveyor in Training (SIT) license in the State of Florida.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
Proficiency in survey instruments (total stations, GPS, data collectors) and related software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, etc.).
Strong knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and applicable regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work outdoors in various conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record.
Commitment to maintaining a drug‑free workplace (testing required).
