social and content strategy manager
to create engaging, high‑quality content that builds brand awareness, enhances customer engagement, and helps shape Index’s voice in the market. Reporting to the Manager, Content Marketing and based in New York City, you’ll be responsible for writing, producing, editing, publishing, and distributing timely, relevant content across our digital channels. This is a highly visible and impactful role within the Brand Marketing team, offering the opportunity to directly contribute to strategic marketing goals and business outcomes. Here’s What You’ll Be Doing Social media strategy and execution
Own, develop, and execute Index’s social media strategy and execution across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms, continually adapting to new channels and trends
Write, edit, and publish high‑performing content—from video scripts to short‑form copy—tailored for each platform and audience
Monitor industry conversations, identify engagement opportunities, and build authentic relationships with followers and partners
Develop and grow our employee advocacy strategy by activating employees to amplify content, helping executives develop their profiles, and ghost‑writing posts
Content creation and amplification
Support content creation across a range of topics and formats—social, blog, email, video, case studies, thought leadership, and more—with a focus on storytelling, clarity, and value
Develop and manage editorial calendars aligned to key narratives, campaigns, product launches, and industry moments
Repurpose high‑value content into new formats to maximize reach and engagement
Amplify content across social, email, and digital channels—ensuring the right content reaches the right audiences at the right time
Performance tracking and optimization
Monitor KPIs and analyze content performance to inform future strategy
Conduct A/B tests and apply insights to continually improve engagement and reach
Create regular reports and presentations to communicate results and recommendations
Collaboration and alignment
Partner with the Creative team to produce compelling visuals, videos, and other assets that resonate with our target audiences
Collaborate closely with a diverse group of stakeholders—including executives, partners, and customers along with Product Marketing, Creative, Communications, Employer Brand, International, and L&D teams—to ensure alignment across campaigns
Champion the Index style guide and ensure consistency in brand voice, messaging, and tone across all channels
AI and innovation
Incorporate AI tools like ChatGPT, Writer, or Canva’s AI features to streamline ideation, editing, and production workflows
Stay ahead of industry trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats to help the team grow reach and engagement
Propose new ideas and experiment with content formats and distribution techniques to help Index stay ahead of evolving content trends
Here's What You Need
5‑7+ years of social media or content marketing experience in B2B tech, ideally with exposure to ad tech or digital advertising, and a keen drive to stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and ecosystem changes
Strong writing, storyboarding, and editing skills across short‑ and long‑form multimedia formats, with a portfolio of work to showcase your range and attention to detail
Deep understanding of platform best practices for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and X, with a curiosity in emerging channels and formats
Familiarity with content and social tools, such as SproutSocial, Canva, Writer, WordPress, Adobe Express, Vimeo, etc.
Familiarity with AI tools and how to integrate them into editorial workflows
Data‑driven mindset with experience interpreting performance metrics and making strategic recommendations
Strong creative instincts and a collaborative approach to working with Creative, Product Marketing, and Communications teams
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with attention to detail and deadlines
The base salary for this role is
$105,000 to $125,000 USD . The total compensation package may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills and experience.
