Summary Of Role The Account Manager is responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. The position requires day-to-day client servicing for a specific set of clients and entails a great deal of verbal, electronic and written communication. The Account Manager will manage the renewal and marketing process, prepare materials for presentations and communications in collaboration with more senior team members, and work independently with significant discretion. While in this role, you will develop relationships with clients and carrier contacts, proactively delivering services to clients. In addition to managing your own clients, you will support the Account Management Team as assigned. This is a full-time position. We offer the flexibility of a hybrid schedule with at least a couple of days a week in our Plainview office. Working in the office is required and is essential for fostering collaboration and career connections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work proactively to develop relationships with carrier and client contacts; take active role in meetings.

Prepare and send request for proposals to applicable insurance carriers and compile spreadsheet results as they come in; prepare first draft of renewal presentation.

Take the lead on reviewing proposals and carrier source documents for accuracy in collaboration with the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive. Communicate directly with clients and carriers, with approval from the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive.

Maintain accurate documentation and a follow-up system to ensure policies, endorsements and other information is received to comply with requests.

Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients through regular contact.

Collaborate with Advisors/Account Executives on communications to keep clients apprised of appropriate industry trends and events, including all state and federal regulatory issues.

First line of answering billing questions from clients and insurance company personnel with assistance from Accounting Dept. when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, And or Abilities

Must be able to work from our Plainview office at least two days a week.

When working from home, maintain a private workspace to secure company equipment and correspondence; maintain high-speed internet, be present and responsive online and minimize personal interruptions during your work shift.

Experience with EPIC or related agency management system.

Excellent written communication skills – writes clearly; edits work for spelling and grammar; presents numeric data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.

Self-confident to make sound independent decisions.

Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people and personalities.

Strong leadership and negotiation skills.

Possess technical expertise plus good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner.

Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines and technology.

Education and/or Experience

More than 3 years of industry and Commercial Lines Insurance servicing is preferred.

Recent experience at a retail insurance brokerage or independent insurance agency is required.

BA/BS preferred. High school diploma or equivalency required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration

Property & Casualty Broker's License required upon hire.

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 – $80,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
