South County Outpatient Endoscopy Services (SCOPES) is looking to add a Full Time GI Scope Tech

As a GI Tech at SCOPES, you will have the opportunity to work alongside highly‑trained physicians who specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and liver disease. You will play a crucial role in delivering top‑notch care by providing clear and understandable consultations, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible treatment.
We take pride in a friendly and supportive work environment, where continuity and trust are nurtured through stable, long‑lasting relationships with our patients. While we work collaboratively as a group, each patient is assigned a dedicated gastroenterologist for personalized care and attention.
GI Tech at SCOPES Responsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures within the surgical center in accordance with established procedures. Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff, exhibiting teamwork characteristics. Prepares equipment and anticipates physician and patient needs for GI procedures. Provides general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment. Oversees the GI procedures and maintains all aspects of the GI procedure area. Assesses patients prior to procedure, documents intra‑procedure notes, assists the physician on all GI procedures, prepares and maintains equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area, and cleans and maintains equipment per Center policy.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent
Medical assistant certification
Certification in Operating Room Technology a plus
One to three years previous experience in GI Lab or Pain Management required
Current BLS required
ACLS preferred
Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI
Strong Customer Service Skills
Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly
Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room & GI lab environment
Must be able to function as a team player
Possess the ability to lift 25 pounds
Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal
