About The Job As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi‑disciplinary projects from start to finish—working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly across teams and time zones. Your projects often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres, requiring coordination and consistent progress reporting.

In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives across a defined area. You will work directly with Google Data Center partners, contractors, trades, integrators, fabricators, and commissioning agents to improve EHS programs and performance on our projects.

You will engage in pre‑qualification evaluations of potential vendors, update project manuals, and communicate EHS expectations. You will be involved in planning, risk mitigation, and on‑time delivery, and responsible for establishing and tracking a set of performance metrics, developing and implementing best practices, and reporting to stakeholders to help scale efficiently.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and ownership of the EHS program for area construction, including oversight and data collection.

Ensure contractors deliver on program safety performance expectations and agreement requirements, and provide timely solutions to issues.

Monitor, advise, and assist construction project teams to protect people, the environment, and ensure compliance.

Drive a culture that embraces continuous learning and aligns with organizational strategies, goals, and objectives.

Liaise with the Construction EHS team to ensure best practices are fully implemented; that progress is reported, trends and data are captured and analyzed; and that risk is mitigated to an acceptable level, ensuring that the operational capacity of a live Data Center is not compromised.
