Our team is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced
Crew Chief
to join us in

This is a remote role based in Baltimore, MD, with heavy travel required throughout the Baltimore area, Delaware, Southern New Jersey, and Southern Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for someone confident in performing independent fieldwork and managing projects with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions
Supervise and lead survey crews managing field operations, including construction stakeouts, topographical surveys, boundary analysis, and as-built surveys.
Utilize advanced tools like Trimble, Leica, Spectre robotic total stations, GPS RTK units, 3D laser scanners, and data collectors.
Conduct field calculations, complete sketches, and ensure accurate data processing.
Maintain safety protocols and equipment care.
Mentor instrument operators and other field crew members.
Serve as client point of contact on-site, maintaining relationships and providing updates.
Perform additional tasks as required to meet quality standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum of 5 years in surveying with a managerial role.
High School Diploma required; strong math, computer, and technical skills.
Expertise in operating advanced surveying equipment and software.
Proven team leadership and collaboration.
Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to technology.
Willingness to obtain additional certifications (OSHA, HAZWOPER, TWIC).
Ability to perform field calculations accurately.
Valid driver’s license required.
Flexibility for overtime and overnight travel.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk for long periods.
Work in varying weather: hot, cold, wet.
Operate within construction zones and busy streets with high noise.
Reasonable accommodation may be provided.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $30–$48+ per hour depending on experience, licensure, and location.
