The main focus of this position is to manage a set portfolio of Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM) customers, with the aim of expanding patient outreach and boosting the utilization of APM technologies in different care settings.
We are looking for a dedicated, committed Expansion Sales Specialist who is proactive and hard‑working to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who excels at spotting untapped opportunities, seeking out new business, and establishing connections from scratch.
Responsibilities
Increase the use of APM technologies in community hospitals and long‑tail accounts.
Discover and focus on high‑potential sales prospects in underrepresented or growing markets.
Build strong connections with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other key collaborators.
Provide exceptional product knowledge and training to healthcare professionals.
Evaluate performance discrepancies and deploy tactics to reach sales goals.
Apply influencing skills to drive buying decisions and ensure customer satisfaction.
Manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment and deliver flawless execution.
Requirements (Required)
Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years of progressive hospital sales experience.
Proven experience in the medical devices industry.
Effective communication and relationship‑building abilities.
Driven by internal motivation and oriented towards results.
Ability to travel 50‑75% as needed.
Requirements (Preferred)
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Extensive knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and/or cardiovascular anatomy, pathology, and physiology.
Deep understanding of the strengths and limitations of both own and competitor products.
Proven ability to build productive relationships and influence buying decisions.
Ability to understand and address customer needs effectively.
Understanding of BD's Business Unit strategy and sales approach.
