SMBC is leading a Digital Transformation in its Americas Division, modernizing technology, focusing on data‑driven approaches, and planning for future growth. This expansion requires an experienced Microsoft Power Platform developer based at our Charlotte, NC location. The role involves understanding all facets of Power Apps development and administration, gathering requirements, developing solutions, creating test cases, managing the application lifecycle, providing production and customer support, and sharing knowledge as the company adopts the platform. Role Objectives
Application development in accordance with best practices, including environment administration, troubleshooting, design specification, testing, documentation, deadline management, and knowledge sharing. Development includes canvas and model-driven apps with data sources such as SharePoint Online, Oracle, SQL Server, and others. Responsibilities
Administration of environments. Troubleshoot production issues and assist with production support. Analyze business requirements and create design specifications for new applications and enhancements. Test, debug, and refine application code based on specified requirements. Prepare required documentation, including program-level and user-level documentation. Provide feedback to team management to ensure development/project deadlines are met. Participate in knowledge sharing with other developers beginning development on the Power Platform. Qualifications and Skills
2+ years of application development experience using the Power Platform. Experience with Power Apps Canvas and Model-driven apps. Experience with Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Online, Dataverse, and Microsoft Dynamics. Proficiency in DAX, JavaScript, C#, and TypeScript. Knowledge of connectors, application security, data governance, and application monitoring. Experience working with waterfall or agile methodologies. Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience.
