At Fuss & O'Neill, we are seeking a motivated

Environmental Compliance Professional

to join our Hartford, CT office. This is an exciting opportunity for an environmental professional to take on a key role in supporting and helping manage compliance projects for a variety of industrial and municipal clients across Connecticut. In this position, you will work both independently and collaboratively to develop environmental plans, prepare permit applications, and perform on‑site compliance and sampling work. Key Responsibilities

Independently prepare environmental compliance plans, including Stormwater, SPCC, and Contingency Plans

Develop and submit air and wastewater permit applications

Complete annual compliance reports (Tier II, Form R, permit‑by‑rule, Title V, Biennial reports)

Prepare air emissions calculations and wastewater reports

Conduct Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) and Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance inspections

Support industrial wastewater and UST design projects

Perform onsite contract compliance work at client sites

Sample stormwater and wastewater discharges and prepare summary reports

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

B.S. in Environmental Science or Engineering required

5+ years of relevant environmental compliance experience

E.I.T. certification preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD

Strong technical writing and communication skills – ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability and willingness to travel approximately 60% within Connecticut
