OVERVIEW Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Local Inventory Fulfillment Terminal Warehouse Lead, you will lead the day-to-day warehouse operations of the Local Inventory Fulfillment Terminal. You will facilitate movement of product throughout the warehouse for product requests necessary to fulfill Fastenal Managed Inventory (FMI). You will provide guidance to ensure warehouse operations are completed correctly, efficiently and on time. RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading and training team members
Communicating with employees, branches and LIFT supply chain
Pulling orders, packaging product, sorting and loading trucks
Receiving, moving, handling and stocking product
Operating computer programs, scanners and printers to label product
Using a scale for weighing product
Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area
Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient written and oral communication skills
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Lead and motivate a team of employees
Work independently as well as in a team environment
Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience operating a forklift
