Amazon Pharmacy is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Houston, TX. This role supports the delivery of medications at convenient times for our customers, handling all aspects of prescription fulfillment.

Job Description

In this position you will be involved in the entire prescription fulfillment process, from dispensing to final shipping, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance at every step.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain customer profiles in PharmacyOS.
  • Process and verify initial prescription orders.
  • Coordinate prescription transfers and new prescription acquisitions.
  • Perform system-based verification and documentation.
  • Verify medication quality for all packet and bulk dispenses.
  • Collaborate with other staff pharmacists on quality assurance checks before shift end.
  • Conduct ancillary housekeeping tasks: checking returns, entering medication rejects, supervising substitutions, and canister approval.
  • Answer clinical questions and provide clinical guidance.
  • Investigate errors, facilitate proper resolution, and report findings.
  • Collate and deliver pharmacy information to the distribution team.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and all applicable federal and state laws.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction in partnership with the pharmacy team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD Degree.
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in the state of employment (Texas); additional licenses may be required if employment state differs from domicile.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws, federal and state regulations concerning patient care.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions.
  • Capacity to lift 20 lbs (warehouse work).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in LTC or retail pharmacy settings.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Compensation

Base pay ranges from $93,400 to $161,000 per year depending on market location. Additional total compensation may include equity, sign‑on payments, and benefits. For more details visit Amazon Benefits.
