Job Details

• Full‑time; Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 7:30‑4:30; no Wednesdays, no weekends.
• Competitive pay based on experience and certifications.
• Location: 10785 N Oracle Rd Suite 103, Oro Valley, Arizona 85737‑9407.

Experience & Qualifications

• 1+ years as a dental assistant preferred; ability to train a newly graduated dental assistant.
• Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
• Dental assisting school certification in AZ and RHS certification required.
• Organized, motivated, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
• Required certifications (dental assistant and/or x‑ray) if mandated by state dental practice act.
• HIPAA training and PHI safeguard responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, sustain comfort, and provide education throughout treatment.
• Conduct thorough reviews of patients’ health histories to provide quality care.
• Take and process x‑rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3‑D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance, including four‑handed dentistry, during a variety of procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with adherence to safety protocols, OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supply and inventory levels; place and expedite orders.
• Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems.

Physical Requirements

• Perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Attend virtual or in‑person training sessions periodically during the year.
• Tuberculosis (TB) test required for all new hires in dental office positions (not applicable in FL & TN).
