Dental Assistant Full-Time - SOUTH MISSISSIPPI SMILES (GULFPORT)

We have the job for you! SOUTH MISSISSIPPI SMILES is offering a full-time opportunity as a Dental Assistant at our GULFPORT office. We are an upbeat team looking for an individual who has a passion for helping others and wants to make a positive difference in their community.

  • Competitive hourly rate plus monthly bonus potential of up to $500.
  • Certified or registered Dental Assistant or currently enrolled in a Dental Assisting program required.

Certifications

CDA or RDA required, X‑ray certification preferred.

Experience

Must have Dental Assistant certification.

Job Type

Full‑time.

Schedule

Monday‑Friday.

Pay

Starting at $13.00 based on experience.

Bonus Pay

Up to $500 additional per month.

Summary Of Essential Job Functions

  • Work chair‑side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties.
  • Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
  • Take impressions of the patient’s teeth (models), extractions, composite fillings, etc.
  • Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling).
  • Ask about the patient’s medical history and take blood pressure and pulse.
  • Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
