Position: Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Honolulu, HI

Pay: $22.84/hour

Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in the role
• Previous forklift operator and shipping and receiving experience

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:00am to 1:00pm or 7:00am to 4:00pm

Job Description

Supervisory Leadership

• Directly supervise warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, training employees, and monitoring performance.
• Foster a positive, safe, and productive work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and constructive feedback.
• Manage employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage for all shifts.

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee the receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of cold food products.
• Ensure accurate inventory management through regular cycle counts and proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
• Optimize warehouse layout and storage space for maximum efficiency and workflow.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate temperature controls throughout the cold storage facility.
• Operate and oversee the safe use and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and refrigeration systems.

Food Safety and Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with all food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FDA).
• Maintain detailed and accurate records for temperature logs, inventory, and shipping documentation.
• Implement and enforce sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and correct potential food safety risks.

Inventory Management

• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly and accurately.
• Prepare and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, or improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Safety

• Enforce all safety policies and ensure staff follow established safety procedures.
• Lead regular safety meetings and training sessions.
• Investigate and document workplace accidents, ensuring corrective actions are taken.

Position Requirements

• Must be able to meet the physical and mental demands of the position.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, food safety standards, and inventory systems preferred.
