Overview Title : Accounting Manager Location : Irvine, CA 92612 (Onsite) Base pay range : $130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Compensation : $130,000 - $150,000 The company is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their growing team. This role reports to the Controller and will supervise a team of 52 direct reports on the accounting team. The Accounting Manager will work closely with Accounting, Finance, and Operations teams to support the business. Prior experience in a multi-location environment (15+ brick and mortar locations) such as Restaurants, Retail, or Hospitals, and management experience are preferred. Company Overview: Our Restaurant client is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their growing team. Responsibilities Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close activities including balance sheet reconciliation, financial analysis, and trial balance review. Oversee and support General Accounting, Fixed Assets and Payroll teams with dynamic leadership creating an environment of trust, high performance, and productivity. Collaborate with functional leadership to proactively explain results, propose improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations, and develop complex analyses to drive business decision making. Ensure accounting processes comply with best practice financial reporting; design, implement, and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and controls. Support the annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors as well as testing by internal and external auditors on internal controls. Contribute to merger and acquisition activities, including due-diligence, third-party valuations, and purchase price accounting. Provide perspectives and conclusions under US GAAP and regulatory accounting principles on queries from internal and external auditors. Support the development of management presentations and supporting schedules, including business reviews, strategic plans, and other leadership presentations and annual plans as needed. Proactively resolve issues and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Support ad hoc analysis and support on special projects, as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent directly related work experience. Multi-location industry experience with 15+ brick and mortar locations (Restaurant, Retail, or Hospital) is required. ERP experience with systems such as NetSuite, MS Dynamics 365, Sage 300, Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, Workday, MS Business Central, JD Edwards, MS Dynamics GP or Intacct.
