Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - Infrastructure Support

Salary $145,000 - $175,000 per year

Description

This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison.

Work Location

Hybrid, primarily remote with ad hoc on-site work, frequency TBD.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, install, maintain, and support Enterprise IT systems with an emphasis on security infrastructure.
• Implement and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions, incorporating data pipeline configurations.
• Provide technical guidance on cloud security operations, including AWS, Azure, and O365.
• Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks such as FISMA, NIST, and CDM.
• Develop automation scripts using Python to improve security operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors in managing IT infrastructure and security systems.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in IT system design and support.
• Minimum 5 years of experience at a senior engineer level or higher.
• At least 3 years of specific experience with cybersecurity tools and SIEM systems.
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
• Strong scripting capabilities in Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with core virtualization technologies and hybrid infrastructures.
• Prior experience integrating SIEMs within cloud and on-prem environments.
• Advanced certifications such as CISSP or CEH.
• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
