Business Office Assistant at Veritas Management Group.
Reports to: Business Office Manager.
Compensation: TBD.
Employment type: Part-time during the week with potential for full-time.
Location: In person at The Center at Val Vista, a 96‑bed short‑term rehab/Skilled Nursing Facility.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with insurance verifications when needed.
- Speaking with patients regarding their insurance benefits during their stay.
- Meeting with patients and/or their POA’s to complete their Admission Contract and Financial Agreements.
- Collecting payments when applicable.
- Documenting in EMR system.
- Assisting the Business Office Manager with various other clerical duties.
- Collaborate with others, organize well, accomplish tasks, solve problems and communicate effectively.
- Be self‑motivated and have attention to detail.
- Must have experience with Excel, Word, Outlook Email, and be computer savvy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred).
- Experience in a health care setting (Preferred).
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
- Must obtain and retain a Level 1 Fingerprint clearance card.
