Business Office Assistant at Veritas Management Group.

Reports to: Business Office Manager.

Compensation: TBD.

Employment type: Part-time during the week with potential for full-time.

Location: In person at The Center at Val Vista, a 96‑bed short‑term rehab/Skilled Nursing Facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with insurance verifications when needed.
  • Speaking with patients regarding their insurance benefits during their stay.
  • Meeting with patients and/or their POA’s to complete their Admission Contract and Financial Agreements.
  • Collecting payments when applicable.
  • Documenting in EMR system.
  • Assisting the Business Office Manager with various other clerical duties.
  • Collaborate with others, organize well, accomplish tasks, solve problems and communicate effectively.
  • Be self‑motivated and have attention to detail.
  • Must have experience with Excel, Word, Outlook Email, and be computer savvy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred).
  • Experience in a health care setting (Preferred).
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Must obtain and retain a Level 1 Fingerprint clearance card.
