Job Title ENT Mid-Level Provider
Job Description To provide guidance and support in the ENT Department, adhere to all policies and procedures of MMC, and meet the needs of patients in a teamwork approach.
Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting and involves frequent telephone contact, as well as face-to-face communication with patients. Interactions with others are constant and interruptive. There is possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, bodily fluids, and other conditions common to medical practice. Varied activities including walking, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), stooping, assisting patients and sitting for extended periods of time may occur. Also, occasional stress from multiple responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
Represent MMC in a courteous and professional manner
Performs an appropriate physical exam, obtains complete medical history and documents visit in the EMR system
Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures
Administers medications and injections in compliance with state law and clinic guidelines
Collaborates with physicians in managing patient needs, when necessary
Triage patient calls and provide consultation
Provide patients/family with proper education concerning medication and treatment(s) by utilizing available resources
Be flexible when asked to stay past your scheduled work time (as needed) to accommodate the needs of patients
Must complete all Healthstream assignments on time
Plan, prioritize and organize work load to maintain efficient patient/client operation in the department
Communicates with patients about lab results, questions, medications, symptoms etc.
Chart all communications/interactions in the EMR system
Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate patient service
Meet or exceed patient, doctor, and staff expectations through a cooperative, teamwork approach
Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all MMC policies and procedures.
With instruction, perform other duties as required or assigned

Ability to conduct daily functions in an appropriate, professional, and compassionate manner
Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks in an efficient and timely manner; attention to detail and well organized

Effectively utilize computer systems and programs that are necessary to complete daily tasks
Education/Experience Requirements - BSN required, MSN preferred. Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner (general or specialized) from an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting plus two years of nurse practitioner or physician assistant experience
