Location: Bridgeport, CT
Scheduled Hours: 40 - Rotating

Responsibilities
Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient/family needs as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Work in collaboration with the attending supervising/collaborating physician(s) in accordance with state law, hospital regulations, policies, protocols, and clinical pathways.
Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, review and order diagnostic/therapeutic tests, and manage patient treatment plans.
Educate patients and families on care and available resources, including admission instructions, treatment plans, potential side effects, and discharge plans.
Provide psychosocial support to patients, their family members, and significant others in a caring, ethical, and professional manner.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Emergency Department experience preferred.
Motivated new graduates with appropriate exposure and preparation considered.
Active, unrestricted CT medical license or in process of obtaining.
ACLS/BLS certification (required).
DEA License.
