Are you with us?!? Job Summary:

Lead all compliance efforts associated with the Title V air permit including equipment design and selection. Work with production to maintain full compliance with all environmental initiatives. Lead chemical reporting, and other permitting activities associated with site operation. WPDES and Laboratory compliance inspections and assist in all other environmental audits and inspections. Maintain WWTP certifications required for plant operations. Pursue Wastewater and Solid Waste certifications with the State. Assist in Management, coordination, and improvement of the environmental control, permitting and reporting efforts in air, chemical reporting, wastewater, solid waste, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations in a cost-effective manner. Assist in the Interpretation and dissemination of information regarding pending and developing legislation. Interface with regulatory agencies and local government officials on environmental matters, including releases, spills, and deviations. Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities:

Actively coordinate compliance with all aspects of the sites Title V air permit. Ensure uptime and calibration of critical systems including the Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS). Work directly with mill operations personnel to ensure compliance with all aspects of permits and licenses including recordkeeping and communications with regulatory authorities. Coordinate and assist with various programs such as new material approvals, Tank Registration, Radiation Safety (RSO), Hazmat, Hazardous Waste, SWPPP, SPCC, Hazardous Waste, and others. Write environmental procedures, update safety procedures and written programs as required or requested. Participate in internal and external audits. Assist with special environmental projects and initiatives, as requested by the Environmental Manager. Ensure that the facility is considered by all parties - governmental and public - to be "good, responsible corporate citizens " with respect to treatment of self-generated pollutants. Must follow Ahlstrom’s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable to the position’s areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper. Qualifications:

Preferred: Environmental or Chemical Engineering Bachelors, or technical degrees. Preferred: Previous Environmental experience and/or Wastewater. Preferred: Supervisory experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills, leadership, mechanically inclined, self-motivated, seeks continual improvement opportunities with a proven track record of successful implementation.
