Position Specific Description

Florida Power & Light is seeking an experienced individual for the Central Maintenance Planning team to support long‑range overhaul planning of its Combined Cycle Power Generation Fleet. The ideal candidate will be well organized and process oriented, have a bias for action, and excel at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Routine interface with site personnel, Fleet Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, and Suppliers is a must. This position requires the capacity to manage a large workload, flexibility when priorities shift, and drive to meet established Major Maintenance Process commitments. This role will be responsible for development of job specific Mechanical Maintenance Work Order packages for Overhaul Projects by (but not limited to):

Performing jobsite walk‑downs for component & scope validation

Supporting procurement of materials and services

Establishing accurate work order cost and schedule estimates

The following credentials are highly desired for the position:

Valve Planning and/or Valve Maintenance experience

Power Plant Planning and/or Mechanical Maintenance experience

Proficient in reading piping & component isometric drawings

Min 2yrs Formal Technical Education

Lastly, this position is planned to be based out of the Jim Robo Campus located in Palm Beach Gardens, but working from one of the FPL Fossil Sites within Florida will be considered based on experience and capabilities of the candidate selected and requires hiring manager approval. This position requires up to 30% travel within Florida.

Job Overview Employees in this job are responsible for project planning of major and minor equipment maintenance activities related to electrical power generation plants. Activities may include job identification, scope validation, cost and schedule estimating, and development of job specific work instructions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Performs administration of procurement contracts and documentation in support of outage execution

Focuses on streamlining activities through the use of standardized processes and procedures, problem solving, and team engagement

Performs other job‑related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

High School Grad / GED

Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

Experience: 2+ years

Supervisor/Management Experience: 0+ years
