Position Summary
Join Walmart as a Senior Software Engineer, leading the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions aligned with platform and business objectives. This role involves full lifecycle ownership, including coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of APIs, user interfaces, and AI/ML components. What you’ll do
Lead delivery of scoped software features and models through collaborative engineering teams, ensuring alignment with platform and system objectives.
Develop, test, and maintain clean, efficient code across multiple programming languages, supporting full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions, participating in design reviews and applying best practices.
Integrate AI/ML components and APIs to enhance software capabilities and innovation.
Monitor application performance and maintain system reliability through proactive DevOps practices.
Mentor peers, share knowledge, and promote continuous improvement within the engineering team.

What you’ll bring
Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, and C++.
Strong expertise in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with business objectives.
Proven experience in developing cutting‑edge AI/ML tools and frameworks, enabling data‑driven decision‑making and automation across diverse industries.
Hands‑on expertise in building machine learning models, natural language processing systems, and optimizing algorithms to deliver innovative solutions that meet team objectives.
Dedicated to leveraging emerging technologies, including AI and ML, to craft intelligent, future‑ready software solutions tailored to business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area AND 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
OR 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area AND 1 year’s experience in software engineering or related area.
Experience implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
