As a Pharmacy Technician you will work with Operations and Product leaders to provide and elevate pharmaceutical care for our customers.
In this role you will be responsible for assisting in the retrieval, processing, and fulfillment of pets’ medication therapies. You will also be actively involved in the development and evolution of our operational policies and procedures that guide these core functions. Your expertise and experience will assist in shaping the best practices that drive world class customer experience.

Structured shifts Monday-Friday (weekends off!)

Core Responsibilities
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Assist pharmacist in retrieving prescription refills from veterinarian prescribers
Follow up with patients as needed to clarify questions relating to and provide updates on their orders
Perform data entry of valid prescriptions
Assist pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacy
Run automated machinery required to pre-sort and package medications
Fill exception trays with appropriate medication
Work daily with the Operations team to ensure the right medications are put in the right pouches
Transition orders through different workflow stages from initial dispense through quality control
Count and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription items
Pack and ship completed orders including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser, shipping boxes
Sort and triage the right boxes to ship at the right time
Aid the Operations team with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing
Clean, and help maintain, equipment and work areas
Basic Qualifications and Skills
Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
Demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to recognize and identify patient medications
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a rapidly evolving startup environment
Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and quality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, self-starter capable of working independently
Requirements
Active and unrestricted in-state Board of Pharmacy License (This includes Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Trainee)
High school diploma or equivalent
6+ months of experience working with computer and web based tools
