The Admissions Counselor position within Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University’s (FranU) Office of Admissions plays a key collaborate role in advancing the enrollment goals and mission of the University. This individual will be responsible for articulating FranU’s message to prospective students, their families, counselors, and other constituents. The individual will promote FranU through a full range of Admissions activities including recruitment, outreach, travel, Admissions decision-making, and specific Admissions projects and responsibilities, as assigned.
Job Responsibility
Evaluate prospective students’ applications and academic histories
Exercising independent decision-making aligned with institutional Admissions policies
Analyze previously earned credits
Determine transferability to FranU and impact on prospective students’ academic progression
Develop and execute strategic Territory Management Plans
Include data‑driven recruitment travel schedules, strategically selecting recruitment events such as college fairs, school visits, and information sessions
Provide personalized guidance and counseling to prospective students and their families, independently assisting them through the college search, Admissions, and Financial Aid processes
Implement responsive and targeted recruiting strategies
Effectively manage outreach via phone, e-mail, SMS, and digital platforms to maximize recruitment outcomes
Maintain expert‑level knowledge of FranU’s academic programs, policies, and distinctive value propositions, strategically incorporating this knowledge into recruitment activities and communications
Work with internal stakeholders to create effective messaging and promotional materials aligned with institutional enrollment goals
Leverage CRM expertise to strategically manage recruitment data, track applicant interactions, process applications, and monitor recruitment outcomes
Support the planning and execution of on‑campus Admissions events, campus tours, and group visits, applying strategic insights to enhance student experience and maximize enrollment effectiveness
Initiate and manage special projects designed to improve recruitment processes, student engagement, and operational efficiencies within the Admissions Department
Job Qualifications Experience: 1 year experience in Higher Education Admissions or Recruiting, preferred
Special Skills: Ability to travel, overnights, non-standard hours, ability to lift objects up to 40 lbs.
Licensure: Valid LA Driver's License. If moving to Louisiana, Louisiana Driver's License is required within 30 days of the start date.
