We are seeking a
Chemical Engineer
to join our
Geoenvironmental Team , supporting projects focused on environmental compliance, permitting, and air quality. In this role, you will apply chemical engineering principles to design and evaluate treatment processes, perform environmental sampling and analyses, prepare permits and help clients meet regulatory requirements under the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct
air dispersion modeling
and prepare
air quality permit applications
in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Support
permitting and compliance efforts
related to the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act, including performing
emissions and discharge calculations .
Perform
process calculations
and evaluations to ensure compliance with emission and water quality standards.
Assist in the design and assessment of
water and wastewater treatment
and
pollution control systems .
Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and regulatory agencies to develop effective and compliant environmental solutions.
Prepare
technical reports, permit documentation , and other submittals for clients and regulatory review.
Assist with preparation of
proposals, work plans and cost estimates .
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree
in
Chemical Engineering
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
in environmental permitting, air quality, or process engineering.
Knowledge of
air permitting ,
air dispersion modeling , and environmental regulations, including the
Clean Air Act
and
Clean Water Act .
Experience performing
process or emissions calculations
and supporting
environmental compliance projects .
Professional Engineer (PE)
license preferred but not required.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
